Shine On
So I take back my comment that birthdays blow because I'm pretty sure that 21 was pretty awesome. Except for the day after turning 21...A bunch of people went out to Red Robin with me for a birthday dinner and needless to say I think the waiter was going to cut me off already at 8pm so I decided to slow down because I wanted to make it to at least one bar with Sharp and Matt. Everyone got me a card or made me a CD or something and I totally wasn't expecting it. It's weird that all though I barely talked to any of these people all summer or last quarter they still showed up and I realized that I have a lot of amazing friends who will always be there for me. After dinner I went and saw Sharp's house and hung out with some of his roommates and then we met Matt at the Fairhaven Bar in well, Fairhaven! It was karoke night and even though I was totally drunk I knew that I didn't not want to get up on the stage and sing. I'm not sure how much I had to drink or what I did drink, but I do know that I saw it again that night (disgusting I know). Thanks boys for showing me such a good time :)
Thursday (the morning after) I did not make it to any classes, and it was only the second day. The last time I puked was 9:15pm, right after the OC (which was awesome by the way)! I felt much better after that so I went straight to bed so I'd be rested for classes on Friday. I should say class...I only have French MWF at 12pm. Life's rough! ;)
Saturday Kate and Krystin eventually made it up to Bellingham and we made trips to several places to get alcohol. It feels kind of weird to go into the liquor store for the first time, but I also felt very grown up. I think people thought I had a fake ID or something since I look like I'm 18 or something. But I got through and Kate got her Captn Mo's and Kina got her Parrot Bay. No, I do not supply alcohol to minors :/ Gotta watch out for that. So we had some frozen pizzas, got all dolled up and went over to Charlie's house to have a mini dance party and I even played DDR! I kicked butt. Mainly because I played against Matt and he had no idea what was going on. One thing I was really excited about was Charlie's roommate, Forrest let me borrow Angels and Demons by Dan Brown (Da Vinci Code author). He doesn't think he'll get it back but I promised I would and it was all just a ploy to have to come over and see him again.
I think next weekend I am going to go look at some cars. If only I had my financial aid money! I could put a down payment on a newer one and pay small monthly payments. We'll see!
